Schneiderman Insurance Agency, Inc. Blog
Do you rent where you live? Do you have renters insurance? My experience as a property manager and as an insurance agent has shown me that many renters do not carry insurance for their residence. Many renters believe that their landlord’s insurance would cover them for their losses, and in most cases they are wrong. It costs more than you might think to replace your personal property and cover your additional living expenses. Renters insurance is an inexpensive way to protect yourself from unexpected losses and liability claim that can arise when you rent your residence.
Also, have you considered the potential ways you could be found liable for things that happen at your home and away from it, a renters insurance policy could protect you from many potential claims. What about if your laptop or other items were stolen from your car? Your auto insurance does not typically cover your personal property in your car, but your renters insurance policy usually would cover your personal property in and out of your home.
If you haven’t considered renters insurance in the past I strongly recommend you contact me to discuss how a policy could protect you and your family against many claims and types of losses.
